The GLOBE SME networking breakfasts are designed for members of the community who are self employed or are employed in a sales environment.

Each month a member of the group will have the opportunity to talk about their business and about their experiences in the often exciting world of being 'self employed'.

November’s speaker is Jon Cox, Director of Theta Capital Investments, Managed Funds and Theta Trading; a share market education and data dissemination service provider.

Jon has more than a decade of global investment market experience. His personal investment in the share market dates back more than 20 years. Jon is the author of the Theta Derivative Index Trading Report and several practical workbooks.

Jon’s Capital Growth fund has reported a blistering return of +16.48% for the September 2008 quarter ‘net to investors’, in the most catastrophic investment environment since the Great Depression. Investors in the ‘All Ordinaries’ have lost -13.23% for the same period.

Jon has developed a unique market analysis that offers an individual market insight, in a user friendly manner.

Jon will talk about his experience and the challenges trading his own private account; as an educator to students wishing to trade and invest in the global derivatives markets; and competing against the ‘big players’ while building a managed fund from the ground up.
